This first one is from when I started walking in April. Then, in May, you see a distinct difference in my face.

This one is from JULY and my face gets even smaller!

Too bad my butt is getting bigger from riding the bike!

Running for Recovery

Hi, I'm Heather and I'm a recovering alcoholic and addict. I stepped into the rooms of A.A. in 1986 through a 28 day program at Hazelden in Minnesota. I was barely 16 years old. Ever since then, I've been running- from God, from Life, from Responsibility. I will turn 40 this year and I'm about to make a detour from the life I've been used to living; a life filled with fear instead of freedom. I used to run track when I was in high school. I took ballet, I was on the swim team, the softball team, the track team, and I also took gymnastics. Somewhere along the line, I got lost. This is my story of Freedom and Redemption- through running as a sport and running TO God, instead of FROM Him.

Alexander, Caesar, Hannibal, conquered the world, but had no friends. Alexander, Caesar, Charlemagne and myself founded empires; but upon what? Force. Jesus founded his empire on Love; and at this hour millions would die for him. I myself have inspired multitudes with such affection that they would die for me. But my p...resence was necessary. Where are my frineds? I am forgotten, soon to return to the earth, and become food for worms. What an abyss between my misery and the eternal kingdom of Christ, who is proclaimed, loved, adored, and which is extending over all the earth. Is this death?
